Seattle United is very excited to announce that two age groups will be added to our slate of US Soccer Development Academy boys teams beginning with the 2017/18 season. Currently, SU offers just the 2004 age group in the USSDA but will now add the 2005 and 2006 age groups. Seattle United Boys DOC Ralph Black explains, “After the overwhelming success of the 2004 age group USSDA team last season, US Soccer has expanded the Pacific Northwest Development League to three age groups for the upcoming year. Seattle United is thrilled and will field 2004, 2005 and 2006 age groups next year. Seattle United is one of two clubs in the region to be granted an extended pool of players for the 2006 age group and will therefore operate two teams at this age group, much like we did with the 2004 group last year. The recent success and player development efforts from the clubs in this market are the driving force behind the expansion. This growth expands the player pathway in the Northwest region, which will create additional opportunities for player development.” A USSDA Info Night has been scheduled for Friday, April 7th. More information will be posted shortly. CLICK HERE to view US Soccer’s release regarding the USSDA expansion.
