WHAT IS THE HUMANITARIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD

To further Sounders FC strategic pillar to lead, serve and invest in the community, the Sounders FC youth partner club “Humanitarian of the Year Award” mirrors the MLS player’s Humanitarian of the Year Award. The intention is to recognize particular youth who:

Volunteer and make an impact in their community
Display Sounder’s FC valued attributes of ambition, innovation and collaboration
Show outstanding dedication to charitable efforts and serving the community
Is an active participant in Sounders FC Youth Partner Clubs

HOW IT WORKS

Seattle United will nominate four (4) individuals:

Two (2) nominees should be 12 years old and under
Two (2) nominees should be 13-18 years old

From the nominations that Sounders FC receives, the field will be narrowed down to three (3) finalists per age group. Of these three (3) finalists, there will be one (1) winner from each age group.

PRIZES

Runners Up (four (4) total; two (2) from each age group)

Each receive one (1) player autographed Sounders FC jersey

Winners (two total; one from each age group)

Two (2) tickets each to attend Sounders FC v. Colorado Rapids on October 22, 2017
Recognition at the match for their excellent accomplishment
A meet and greet with the Sounders FC player Humanitarian of the Year
A photo and autographed jersey from the 2017 Sounders FC player who wins “Humanitarian of the Year”
