It’s been a fun and active summer for our Community Outreach program! We’ve been working with community partners to provide activities for youth in our region.
Our club has proudly partnered with the Hunger Intervention Program (HIP), a fantastic group that operates with a mission “… to increase food security for underserved populations in north King County through nutritious meals, educational programs, and advocacy.“
Seattle United has been providing fun soccer activities during the ‘Summer Eats for Kids’ program provided by HIP in the North East and Shoreline region. We are very excited to be working with this organization for the first time this summer and look forward to more work with them in the future!
In addition to our new partnership with HIP, we continued our partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of King County. This was our 3rd year running a station at the annual Summer Field Day at Husky Stadium and it was blast! This awesome event gives over 700 kids a day of fun events in a memorable venue!
Our work is lead by Community Outreach Director, Carlos Enriquez, but has been made possible by the support of our regional Directors, coaches, and player volunteers.
