Seattle United’s Food Drive for Northwest Harvest 2018
WINTER IS COMING– When the cold months begin, the need for hot food increases. Seattle United is partnering up with Northwest Harvest to help donate warm and hearty foods to communities in need this upcoming holiday season.
All of our donations will go directly to Northwest Harvest who, starting on November 13 through the month of December, will be donating all Western Washington food drive results towards the 17th Annual KING 5 Home Team Harvest, the largest annual food drive in Washington state.
Seattle United’s Food Drive will take place starting Thursday, November 8, 2018 and end Sunday, November 18, 2018.
SEATTLE UNITED GAME OF ZONES:
To spice things up, we have evenly divided the club up into 6 ZONES that will be competing against each other to see who can bring in the greatest amount of food items.
PRIZES:
• The top 3 individual teams (and their coaches) that donate the most will receive a prize, regardless of if they are in the winning region.
• The entire ZONE (region) that donates the most will also receive a prize.
THE ZONES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
ZONE ONE: NORTHEAST REGION/JUNIOR SOUNDERS (ALL U8 AND U9 COPA, TANGO, SAMBA AND PREMIER JUNIOR SOUNDERS TEAMS)
ZONE TWO: BOYS PREMIER (ALL USSDA, COPA, TANGO, SAMBA AND NOVA TEAMS)
ZONE THREE: GIRLS PREMIER (ALL ECNL, COPA, TANGO AND SAMBA TEAMS)
ZONE FOUR: SOUTH REGION
ZONE FIVE: SHORELINE REGION
ZONE SIX: WEST REGION
YOU CAN DROP OFF YOUR CANS AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH AND THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH DURING YOUR PRACTICE SESSIONS. ZONE SPECIFIC LOCATIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
ZONE ONE: INGRAHAM HIGH SCHOOL (11/14), TWIN PONDS (11/15)
ZONE TWO: TWIN PONDS (11/14), INGRAHAM HIGH SCHOOL (11/15)
ZONE THREE: WASHINGTON PARK (11/14 & 11/15), SPU WALLACE FIELD (11/15)
ZONE FOUR: GEORGETOWN PLAYFIELD (11/14 & 11/15)
ZONE FIVE: SHORELINE A & B FIELDS (11/14 & 11/15)
ZONE SIX: LOWER WOODLAND (11/14), INGRAHAM HIGH SCHOOL (11/15)
YOU CAN BRING DONATIONS TO ANY OF THE DROP OFF LOCATIONS, EVEN IF THE LOCATION IS NOT SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUR ZONE. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO BRING YOUR DONATIONS TO ANY OF THE DROP OFF LOCATIONS LISTED ABOVE, PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO DROP OFF YOUR ITEMS AT THE SEATTLE UNITED OFFICE.
