Player of the Month – Mason Lucero B05 USSDA

Mason plays center back for the Seattle United’s Boys U14 USSDA team. The team recently completed an undefeated fall academy season in the West/Washington division, earning the chance to play the top teams on the west coast at the DA’s Western Showcase.

At the showcase, Mason was a standout performer who led the team in tackles and duels won. “The pace of the game was so fast right from the beginning,” said Lucero, “They are all around great technical teams, and they also have players that are very physical.”

Mason is a vocal player that also leads by example on the field, he has excellent training attendance, and keeps the game fun with a dry sense of humor that his teammates all appreciate.

“Mason’s work ethic and commitment has been a prime example for this club,” said his coach, Alex Chursky. “He’s a player that consistently does the hard, gritty work necessary for the team to be successful. He is composed on the ball and is a very important leader for our team.”

Great job, Mason! Way to represent Seattle United.
