Seattle United hires Nikki Washington as G04 Copa Head Coach
April 29, 2019 – Seattle, WA – Seattle United is excited to announce the hire of Nikki Washington as their new G04 Copa Head Coach for the 2019-2020 season.
Nikki is an American retired professional soccer forward and right midfielder who last played for Boston Breakers in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and is currently an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team at the University of Washington.
Nikki Washington joined the Husky staff before the 2017 season, helping the Huskies to a winning record in her first year as an assistant. She came to the Huskies with an impeccable resume, having won three NCAA championships with a player at North Carolina and serving as the team captain for the U20 U.S. Women’s National Team which won a world championship in 2008. Washington also won a NWSL championship during her five-year professional career.
