The Colorado School of Mines Men’s Soccer team put its name on two of the RMAC weekly awards on Tuesday with Lucas King earning RMAC Offensive Player of the Week and Jason Zobott claiming RMAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The announcement marks the first such award in King’s career. He came upon the honor after assisting on 50 percent of Mines’ goals over the weekend as the Orediggers remained unbeaten in conference play thanks to a 1-0-1 record. King tied Mines’ single-match record with three assists in the Orediggers’ 7-0 win at Colorado Christian. He also proceeded to assist on Mines’ only goal in the match in a 1-1 draw at MSU Denver.
