I am very proud of our two Seattle United players Kanye Davis and Sierra Sonko who have been selected to represent the ICC west all star team,” said Seattle United’s Director of Girls Coaching, Rich Reece. “This event is the top 05 age international tournament in the world and has teams from FC Barcelona, PSG, Manchester City to name a few along with top clubs from the US. The girls have played 3 group games and have top their group and advanced to the final 4 which will be broadcasted live on ESPN. I am also fortunate to be on the coaching staff for this event and it’s absolutely fantastic. The level of play is excellent and the facilities are top notch here at the IMG complex in Florida. We are excited for the final 4 and grateful to Relevant Sports for running this ICC futures event and to the ECNL for putting these all star teams together.

I’m having a really great time here at the ICC futures cup,” said Seattle United G05 ECNL Player, Layne Davis. It’s been a real pleasure getting to see all these girls and boys from different parts of the world come and to compete at a high level. I’ve learned a lot having high level coaches as well. My favorite part of the trip is meeting new girls and learning from them. I love how well we are working together as a team and how we were able to make it to the final four having very little experience together.

I really enjoyed playing in the ICC futures tournament. Meeting and playing against teams from other countries was really fun.” Sierra Sonko (G05 ECNL) said. “I have played against some of the players on the west team, but the rest of the players, it was my first time meeting them. At first I was nervous because we never practiced together so the first win was really helpful and lead us to the final 4. The team has already bonded like we have been playing together for years.
