2019 Seattle United Raffle Has Kicked Off!

Dear Seattle United Families:

The club is rolling out its annual Raffle fundraiser this week. All Raffle net proceeds support our financial aid fund. The club saw significant increases in financial aid applications this year over past years, and while the club awarded an unprecedented amount of aid ($291,000) this year (up 16% from 2018), unfortunately demand continues to exceed our resources. One way to bridge that funding gap is through our club-wide fundraising efforts.

The success of last year’s raffle provided program fee assistance to many boys and girls with select/premier soccer skills but whose families lacked financial resources to play at this level. Due to your amazing support, Seattle United has never turned down financial aid to any qualified applicant in club history. Let’s keep this streak alive!

Your participation and support of this year’s Raffle will make it an even greater success than last year. Here’s how it works:

• The Raffle runs from November 9th to January 6th, 2019
• Anyone eighteen or older may purchase tickets
• Your Team Manager will assign a parent to act as Team Raffle Coordinator
• Your Coach will drop off Raffle packets this week
• Each player will be issued ten tickets; tickets sell for $10 apiece
• Additional tickets will be available from your team’s Raffle Manager or directly form the club
• ALL UNSOLD TICKETS must be returned to your Team Raffle Coordinator; State law prohibits the loss and/or destruction of licensed raffle tickets.

• One Grand Prize: 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid
• One Runner-up Prize: $1000 Amazon.com Gift Card
• One Third Place Prize: $500 Amazon.com Gift Card

2019 Raffle Ticket Sale Incentive Awards:

• 2019/2020 Program Fee Waiver (or $500 Amazon Gift Card): Top 2 Boy Sellers
• 2019/2020 Program Fee Waiver (or $500 Amazon Gift Card): Top 2 Girl Sellers
• All players who sell 50 or more Raffle Tickets will receive a $100 Soccer.com gift card!
• $500 towards end-of-season party, Top Two Team Sales – Girls
• $500 towards end-of-season party, Top Two Team Sales – Boys

The Raffle Drawing will be held at the Seattle United Gala at Fremont Studios, 155 N. 35th St., Seattle, WA 98103, on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 8:00 PM.

We are very excited about this year’s grand prize, as it is a sweet car that gets terrific gas mileage while also looking very sporty! We can’t wait to see you driving it!
