February 9th, 2017 Dear Seattle United 2004/2005 Families, Seattle United, in partnership with Generation Adidas International, is pleased to announce our new Seattle United International Travel Program. This summer (2017) we will offer an international soccer & cultural experience for our players in the 2004 and 2005 age groups and their families. Players will have the opportunity to train in Spain with the Real Madrid professional soccer academy. In addition to world class training, the teams will participate in friendly games and cultural sightseeing. The trip is tentatively set to take place August 18th to 27th. Seattle United has selected coach Fernando Barros to be the liaison with (GAI). Fernando has organized international trips, open to both players and families, for more than 19 teams over 20 years. This is an opportunity for individual players versus an organized team, and is based on first come first served, though we will make as many teams as necessary to accommodate all players interested. We have scheduled an informational meeting for players and parents to learn about the summer 2017 itinerary. Families interested should attend, but if unable or have questions about the 2017 international travel opportunity they should contact Fernando Barros at: [email protected]. SEE COPY OF PROPOSED ITINERARY HERE. If you are interested in traveling with the group, please email Fernando Barros: [email protected]. Fernando will be able to answer any questions that you may have. If you are interested, please provide the following information in the email: For supporters (parents, siblings) traveling, he only needs the names. Please add your phone number in case we need to contact you. Note: We are in the process of creating our international page on our Seattle United web site.
