Former SU Players Lead SCIAC in Scoring

Four former B99 Copa players — all freshmen — are currently among the top ten goal scorers in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), with Will Barton, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, topping the list. Joining Barton in the top ten are Banks Telkamp and Hayden Barnouw, Whittier College, and Jasper Brannon, Occidental College. Among his league-leading goals, Barton has two game winners. Similarly, Barnouw has one game winning goal and an assist; he was named Whittier Athlete of the Week in his first week of college soccer. All four freshman played together on SU’s B99 Copa team; other B99 Copa players getting significant playing time in the SCIAC include Avery Jacobson and Peyton Menti, University of Redlands, and Riley Long and Evan Owens, Chapman University.

Coached by John Heimbigner in 2017/18, B99 Copa won the RCL title, State Cup championship, and the Far West Regional League title.

Congratulations to all the boys on their successful transition to college soccer!
