Homestay Program for International Visitors

Homestay Program for International Visitors

Are you interested in expanding your world? The World Affairs Council provides innovative exchange programs for professional and youth leaders from around the world. These programs can include a homestay component to enrich the intercultural experience of their program by allowing these leaders to become more deeply immersed in our local culture. They are also a unique opportunity for host families to learn from and form a long-lasting connection with an individual from a different country without even leaving Seattle! These programs are sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the Open World Leadership Center, or the U.S. Agency for International Development.

The World Affairs Council is urgently seeking seven volunteers (families and individuals with a guest bedroom) in Seattle to provide a homestay for an exceptional youth leader from Mexico from July 20-August 1 (only 12 nights).

These youth leaders speak English and are 15-17 years old. While in Seattle, they participate in an engaging and fun leadership program focused on environmental sustainability organized by the World Affairs Council M-F and enjoy time with their hosts on evenings and weekends.

Hosting with the World Affairs Council is fun, rewarding, and easy!
